Since the launch of Popfection a little more than a year ago, we’ve been committed to introducing the best (or sometimes worst), and freshest albums released to the industry, mainly in the pop genre. As the title of our site suggests, we all absolutely adore pop – for its catchy melodies, for its bangers and for its incredible messy state that never fails to surprise us. We’ve always been focused in delivering new material, but what about the iconic records that was released before the year or even the decade, that sounds fantastic even on its hundredth relisten? Pop Girl Week is dedicated to those albums.
Through the course of two weeks, from tomorrow (June 19) to the Friday after (June 30), we have 10 articles from the range of album reviews, to track-by-track rankings, to full-on dissections of 10 brilliant pop albums by 10 of the best pop artists out there who’ve sealed their names as the best in the game, exclusively in the female gender. We’re not revealing who they exactly will be, but you can probably guess the obvious ones, and they probably all appear in the thumbnail. And before you start to guess, no we’re not reviewing Bionic. That’s just something that nobody in the team likes to get into.
So in these two weeks, stay tuned to Popfection and watch out for your favourite artists! And before you go here’s the music video of “Be The One” just so you get something from this article which is that your day’s basically made. You’re welcome by the way.
